RULES & CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

Please note that membership is based on meeting the following conditions.
Your membership may be terminated at any time by the centre manager should you break one of the ground rules.

RESPECT 

Everyone has the right to respect and to use this service free of harassment or discrimination regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion or disability. It is the duty of the staff to protect and enforce this right at all times to ensure the centre remains a safe and supportive place. Violent conduct (including self-harm) , threatening behaviour or language will not be tolerated - this includes jokes which others may find personally offensive or provocative. 

FIRE REGULATIONS

If the fire alarm sounds, leave the building by the nearest exit and meet in the pub car park next door.

THEFT

No theft of any items belonging to members, staff or the Centre. This includes tea bar food and money.

ARSON

No lighting fires in or outside the building.

ALCOHOL & RECREATIONAL DRUGS

No alcohol or recreational drugs are allowed on the premises at any time (alcohol may be allowed at social events). Any member under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs may be asked to leave the centre.

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is confined to the conservatory. Smoking is not allowed in the corridor. Smokers must clean their ashtrays. The smoking policy is always under review. 

HOUSEKEEPING

Tea Bar users must keep the tea bar area clean and tidy. Please help to keep the centre clean by disposing of any rubbish and returning dirty mugs to the kitchen.

FOOD PREPARATION

Members taking part in food preparation must hold or be willing to undertake training to obtain a basic food hygiene certificate. This can be organised via centre staff.

MEDICATION

We do not hold or provide any medication or prescribed drugs. You must be responsible for keeping / taking any personally prescribed medicines yourself. 

ACCIDENTS / INJURIES

Should you injure yourself or witness the injury of another, please report this to a member of staff.

PERSONAL POSSESSIONS

The management holds no responsibility for items left behind at the centre. Items are left at the owner's risk.

COMPLAINTS

There is a formal complaints procedure in place should you feel that at anytime this is the best option.
