| THE GENERAL MEETING This meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month at 11.00am in the Main Hall of the Centre. The meeting is attended by staff and members with the roles of Chairperson and Minute-Taker usually being undertaken by members present. The purpose of this meeting is to empower attending members, and to allow members to take responsibility for and make decisions (ie "members in general meeting") about the running of the Centre, including the approval of expenditure of money from the Members Account. This forum also involves updating the membership on current and future activities, groups, social events and functions etc; allows discussion and feedback on issues of interest and importance to members; and contributes to the policy-making of the Centre in terms of rules and regulations, and other relevant notices.
